التعريف
The prophet’s (peace be upon him) migration from Makkah to Yathrib in 622 CE. The reason was the escalation of the persecution of Muslims by Quraysh, particularly after Abu Ṭālib, the Prophet’s uncle had died. The migration was a highly significant and historic event in Islamic history. It was chosen by the second Caliph, ꜤUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb, as the start of the Islamic Hijri calendar.
